Yard gyal is an experience that explores the black fem experience through yardie and Dancehall culture. Aiming to empower femininity within the black community and challenge our understanding of it by observing it as energy. When black feminine energy is released from todays binaries and the white gaze, who could the black communities become? This experience explores themes around sexuality/sensuality, Misogynoir, activism, Gender, Binaries, queerness, History and Afro- futurism.
